heres a thought on Micheal Jackson

 Everyone, today we're going to talk about priorities.  As everyone in the world knows, Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009.  Osama Bin Laden is hiding in a cave somewhere and it was publicized so much I'm sure Osama even found out.  It was covered day and night for several days following the tragic event.  National news covered crying fans, tried to guess where the funeral was going to be held, and debated who should inherit all the money.  Meanwhile, in just 5 days following the death of this "pop icon," 10 American troops died inside combat zones, 10 families lost sons in combat, and several fellow troops watched their brothers in arms die.  Now, how many people out there remember any coverage on that in the days following the "tragic event of Michael Jacksons death?"  Don't get the wrong idea now, I'm not trying to talk down on Michael Jackson, this is a national problem.  When Michael is the hero, and we've forgotten that there is men dying in a far away land defending us, we are getting slightly off track as a country.  Where did the patriotism following Sept 11, 2001 go?  We are still at war America, and I can tell you first hand there are plenty of people around the world that want to kill any Americans they see.  I've spent the last 6 years of my life fighting them.  Michael was a great entertainer, most will agree on that, but what did he do for the American people, other than cause you to smile and shake your hips when you hear a song.  Lets go back to the patriotism we are starting to lose and remember who the heroes are.  Just something to think about.
